First Aid Training

Our First Aid training courses are a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical sessions that are designed to develop ability and most importantly practical confidence.

Our training is fully approved by the Health and Safety Executive and is certified by NUCO Training Ltd – HSE Approval Number, No. 29/99.

The following courses are available: –

4 Day First Aid at Work. It is a requirement of Health & Safety law that employers should provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees. If the assessment of First Aid needs highlights the need for qualified First Aiders, then this course will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel. This comprehensive four-day course covers a wide range of First Aid subjects, enabling all students to deal with an emergency situation with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way.

2 Day First Aid at Work (Refresher). This comprehensive 2-day course is available to anyone who wishes to renew their First Aider qualification.

1 Day Appointed Person Course, Emergency First Aid in the Workplace. Where an employer’s assessment for First Aid needs identifies that a First Aider is not necessary, the minimum requirement for an employer is to appoint a person to take charge of the First Aid arrangements. This course is ideal for individuals who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid. Upon successful completion of the course delegates will be issued with a certificate. The qualification will be valid for 3 years.

1 Day Appointed Person Course, Emergency First Aid in the Workplace (Paediatric). This course has been developed for those who are working with children and babies.It will be of particular interest to Teachers, Child Minders, Crèche Assistants, Playgroup Personnel and anyone responsible for youth organisations.It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and/or babies, who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid.

2 Day Appointed Person Course, Emergency First Aid in the Workplace (Paediatric). This course contains all of the sylabus of the one day course but includes many other childhood conditions and illnesses such as meningitis, fainting, epilepsy etc.

Half-Day Emergency Response Course. This is a short course in Basic Life Support. The aim of the course is to enable all students to deal with an unconscious casualty who is breathing, and how to deal with an unconscious casualty who is not breathing.

Our courses can be tailored to suit a clients requirements and can be held either on your premises (subject to numbers and suitability of location), or at a neutral location.
